REVIEW: Law & Order – Dun Dun Diner – NYC Pop Up

In honor of the new seasons of Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU, as part of  NBC Universal’s 100th anniversary celebration, the “Dun Dun Diner” made it’s way back to New York City with an immersive experience featuring themed food collaborations and fresh merchandise.

Taking over Bill’s Bar & Burger in Rockefeller Center, the “Dun Dun Diner” had two parts – a free grab-n-go portion and the sit-down restaurant which requires ticketed reservations. Four New York City favorites – Ess-a-Bagel, Katz’s Deli, Magnolia Bakery, and Serendipity3 – provided a specially curated menu featuring beloved culinary staples, including a bagel, an omelette, and more.

The pop up was a L&O fan dream come to live with photo opps, Benson’s desk, and other easter eggs tucked away throughout the dining experience. Swag included an “Elite Squad Member” mug, a beanie for those long stake outs, and a couple of exclusive pins honoring the “Dun Dun Diner” itself and the franchise.

“For decades, the Law & Order universe has been synonymous with New York City, and the “Dun Dun Diner” celebrates that unmistakable connection with fans. This years’ experience coincides with NBC’s 100th anniversary, marking a century of iconic storytelling and shared cultural moments that have brought generations of audiences together.”

The event is so beloved that reservations sold out, the Dun Dun Diner experience has been extended with specially curated menu offerings now in select stores today and tomorrow (October 12 – 13), allowing fans who didn’t get to attend a chance to taste the exclusive dishes including:

  • “Lox & Order” – An Ess-a-Bagel everything bagel stacked with plain cream cheese, nova, cucumber, fresh dill and a squeeze of lemon.

  • “The Benson” – A Katz’s pastrami piled on seedless rye with coleslaw and Russian dressing.

  • “Proof Is In The Pudding” – Magnolia Bakery’s Iconic banana pudding gets a salted caramel twist, layered with vanilla wafers, fresh bananas and creamy pudding.

  • “Fin Loves Coco” – Serendipity3’s legendary Frrrozen Hot Chocolate made with a secret blend of 14 exotic cocoas, chocolate cold foam, whipped cream, chocolate shavings, cookie crumble and a pinch of Maldon sea salt.
