We got a chance to visit the MobLand Pub Takeover, an event that occurred simultaneously in Los Angeles, Boston, and Chicago, to experience the excitement of Harrigan’s Pub. In Los Angeles the event was held at Tom Bergin’s, a historic Irish pub in Los Angeles which has been around since 1936.
With activities ranging from poker, custom cocktails and swag, spinning the “wheel of chaos” and even a live performance from Irish-Americana band, Whiskey Sunday, the MobLand season 2 premiere celebration was playful and exciting. Cosplayers took on roles from the show and wandered around interacting with patrons of the pub — both civilians who weren’t aware of the special event and those who were invited. The pub itself was decorated modeled after the estate in the Cotswolds and Conrad’s flat in London, with a gorgeous photo opp that cosplayers were eager to assist with.
