Coming straight out of 2026 TIFF, Apple TV’s original movie Being Heumann is set to premiere later this week, but the first official trailer for the movie is here now.
From Oscar winning director Siân Heder (CODA) comes a new film sharing a groundbreaking moment in America’s history, with regards to disability rights. Being Heumann stars Doctor Who alum Ruth Madeley in a based on a true story of disability rights activist Judy Heumann who “led more than 100 disabled people to take over the San Francisco Federal Building, kicking off a 28 day sit-in — the longest occupation of a federal building in U.S. history.” Mark Ruffalo, Dylan O’Brien, Jon Beavers, Rob Delaney and Ray Fisher also appear in the movie that will be in select theaters starting November 6th, and streaming on Apple TV after November 13th.
