REVIEW: Big Mouth – 8th & Final Season on Netflix

Growing up happens. Unfortunately for Big Mouth fans, it’s happening to these kids, resulting in the end of the hilariously clever and raunchy animated series. For eight seasons, Big Mouth, along with it’s spin-off Human Resources, has creatively approached the realities of life, love, and human sexuality through bright colors, silly voices, and musical numbers.

Delightfully, the season 8 goes out with a bang – well, quite a few people bang, but that’s kind of the point. In an attempt to leave a lasting impression, Big Mouth spends an entire episode “answering fan questions” about puberty, sexuality, and the human body, while the other 9 episodes of the season have storylines focus on universal topics like Compassion, as well as  Enthusiastic Consent, porn, and gaslighting. There’s even a charming episode which pays homage to The Magic School Bus!

Big Mouth is a show that will undoubtably be missed, but luckily the entire series is easily rebingeable on Netflix.

Check out the official trailer for season 8 of Big Mouth, the final season, which premieres on May 23rd.
