I don’t think I’ve ever read anything like this before. Yes, The Wild Man is a Tarzan retelling, but it’s also a fascinating approach to the captive trope as well as our animal base instincts. Everlee is a writer who wants to do a feature on the mysterious Wild Man who is said to live in the wilderness, but when he spots her she decides she’s his. After reading quite a lot of kidnapping and captivity stories where the FMC almost instantly accepts the non-con, it’s surprisingly refreshing to have a story call it what it is (the big R word), and not excuse it while still finding a way to have it work within the romance.

About:
From USA Today Bestselling author, Alex Grayson, comes a dark, spicey Tarzan retelling — I went into the wilderness in search of the person the town calls Wild Man. Living on his own since he was a small boy, he raised himself. When I found him, it wasn’t the experience I expected. He wasn’t what I expected. A savage, more animal than man. Pure instinct was how he survived. With his hand wrapped around my throat, he said only one word: “Mine.”
