D23 Expo, the biggest Disney fan event which takes place every other year, made a lot of announcements this last weekend. Showcasing properties from Star Wars to Marvel and even some good ol’ fashioned Disney Channel, so much great content is heading our way. Star Wars: The Rise of the Skywalker

Grant, Lupita Nyong’o, Keri Russell, Joonas Suotamo, Kelly Marie Tran, and Billy Dee Williams – where new legends will be born and the final battle for freedom is yet to come. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker opens in U.S. theaters on December 20.
Disney+ Announces Six New Series
Disney+ made its D23 Expo debut with its first-ever showcase presentation, announcing six new series in development and revealing key details about the highly anticipated streaming service, including Ewan McGregor’s new untitled Obi-Wan Kenobi series from Lucasfilm, three new live-action series: “Ms. Marvel,” “Moon Knight” and “She-Hulk,” all derived from Marvel comics, Hilary Duff’s return to the role she made famous in an all-new Lizzie McGuire series from Terri Minsky, and The Muppet’s first-ever unscripted short-form series, “Muppets Now.”

Executive producers Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni released the first trailer for Lucasfilm’s “The Mandalorian” – the first Star Wars live-action series – starring Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers and Giancarlo Esposito, and Taika Waititi, who brings the droid IG-11 to life.
The Lady & The Tramp – live action CGI movie – a timeless re-telling of the 1955 animated classic, a pampered house dog and a tough but lovable stray embark on an unexpected adventure and, despite their differences, grow closer and come to understand the value of home.
Noelle – Kris Kringle’s daughter is full of Christmas spirit and holiday fun, but wishes she could do something “important” like her beloved brother Nick, who will take over from their father this Christmas. When Nick is about to crumble like a gingerbread cookie from all the pressure, Noelle (Anna Kendrick) suggests he take a break and get away…but when he doesn’t return, Noelle must find her brother and bring him back in time to save Christmas.

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series – Watch the trailer here!
A 10-episode scripted series, set as the real-life East High, where the original movie was filmed, follows a group of students as they countdown to opening night of their school’s first-ever production of “High School Musical.” With meta references and some docu-style elements, it’s a modern take on the “classic” from 15 years ago. Show-mances blossom; friendships are tested, while new ones are made; rivalries flare; songs are sung; and lives are changed forever as these young people discover the transformative power that only high school theater can provide.
