What if The Beatles never existed? Apparently the world would be quite different! In Yesterday aspiring singer Jack Malik has an accident which results in him being the only person who remembers The Beatles. Armed with his memory, Jack starts performing their beloved hits and rises to international rock-stardom.
Himesh Patel stars as Jack in a beautiful performance of a man who attempts to follow his dreams by building on a lie. His rougher rock style of The Beatles classics are enjoyable covers of beloved tunes, carrying the movie which decidedly doesn’t explain the ‘how’ or ‘why’ of this alternate reality.
