BOOKS: The Oath We Take by Scarlett Cole – Review via GoodLittleLibraryMouse

The Oath We Take follows Atom, the Motorcycle Club’s enforcer who is such a cinnamon roll, and Ember, a fierce spitfire, who is the Prez’s daughter but has distanced herself over the years from the MC.
While the story has definitely a foundation in the club, with Atom’s life on the ranch The Oath We Take feels more like you’re reading a small town story than a traditional MC romance.
I absolutely love this sweet story of serious mutual pining, with a definitive “fuck it” moment. Neither of these characters have the right experience to move from temptation to healthy relationship, so I really enjoyed how The Oath We Take is actually a gorgeous exploration of How To Communicate with your partner.
To be honest, you don’t need to read any previous books in this series to enjoy The Oath We Take, but I highly recommend starting the Iron Outlaws MC: Colorado series with book 1 before diving in here, if only because it’s really good. I personally hadn’t read any of the Iron Outlaws MC books, but after these first two, I’m eager to go back and get to know the bigger universe in which they play.
