Wow! Take me to Fiasco!
I absolutely loved revisiting this town and characters. The Foxx brothers are still as steamy as ever and the story between Linc and Faye is just fantastic. Foxx and Peach forever!
When I read the first book, I noted how the mystery and story was so captivating that I didn’t notice the slow-burn of the spice. I genuinely appreciated that this book was a faster burn than book one, and the spice was hot as hell, as was the delicious bourbon play, yet in no way detracted from the underlying suspense and intrigue.
I really love how strong and smart the FMCs are in Victoria Wilder’s Bourbon Boys series, and as this is only the second book I’ve read from this author, I can only assume and hope it’s an active decision she makes for all her books.
Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, yes I’m still impatiently waiting for Ace & Haley.
About:
In Fiasco, Kentucky, there is one rule: never fall for a Foxx brother. Any woman who did, ended up dead. It wasn’t just a rumor. It was my reality. I buried my wife along with too many secrets surrounding the night she died. Now, I’m a single dad with two priorities above everything else: raising my two girls and making great bourbon. But when Faye Calloway returns after I ran her out of my small town—looking like a fantasy on stage and nothing like the cop she was trained to be—I know for a fact that she’s hiding more secrets than the one she blackmailed me to keep.
