FIRST LOOK: Debris on NBC – TCA 2021

First up at NBC’s virtual press day was sci-fi series Debris which follows a couple of agents from a secret government agency who track down the pieces of a wrecked alien spaceship which has been causing anomalies. Jonathan Tucker and Riann Steele star as the agents sent to uncover this mystery. When asked about whether the actors themselves believe in aliens, Tucker laid out his very reasonable arguments for believing. Steele spoke to why audiences love sci-fi, and captured that fan perspective – one that’s especially prominent within showrunner JH Wyman who was bombarded with questions comparing this new show with his cult hit Fringe.

Debris is currently shooting in Vancouver and it set to premiere this March.

About Debris
When wreckage from a destroyed alien spacecraft scatters across the Western Hemisphere, it soon becomes apparent the pieces are messing with the laws of physics, changing lives in ways we can’t comprehend. Two agents from different continents, and different mindsets, are tasked to work together to recover the debris, whose mysteries humankind is not quite ready for.
The cast includes Jonathan Tucker, Riann Steele, Norbert Leo Butz and Scroobius Pip. Creator and showrunner J.H. Wyman will write and executive produce alongside his company, Frequency Films. Jason Hoffs, Jeff Vlaming and Samantha Corbin-Miller will also executive produce.
